Case Study: Neo Axia’s role in the Terra Forte Program

Context:
The Terra Forte Program was an ambitious initiative by the Federal Government, involving multiple bodies and entities, including Incra, BNDES, Banco do Brasil, MDA, Casa Civil and Conab. Its main objective was to strengthen the agro-industrial production chain, especially in less developed communities, seeking to boost the local economy and promote sustainable development. To carry out such a complex task, Fundação Banco do Brasil hired Neo Axia, recognizing its competence and experience in socioeconomic and socio-environmental modeling.

Challenge:
With more than 80 agribusinesses spread across different regions of the country and involving countless cultures and practices, the challenge was to develop robust modeling that could assess the viability of each one, while at the same time providing concrete opinions for Banco do Brasil's credit areas.
